I love toys, espesaly new once :D
My most beloved toy at the moment is my Rapier, at first I found it a bit hard to solo in it, but It's like all new ships, takes time to get used to.
But the last few days flying with my mates in the 22nd I found good usage for.
Valkyrie Ryche was forming a T1 Cruiser roam fleet, but I was in my Rapier and close by, so I thought, I join em.
I was told to scout Nennamaila(a know Gallente FacWar mission hub) for targets.
And there was a few WT, and a Open mission plex.
I warped to the plex, and started my short range scan, but alas,,, No targets.
Just as I was going to give the bad news to my mate, a Cerberus Heavy Assult Ship, form on my.
I imidiently drop my cloack and set my warp diable system hot, and sure enough, the Cerb apperars.
I rush my my uppgraded locking systems and shouts in joy to mates "I've GOT him".
As they enter system the Cerberus to my big suprise warps away... Warp Core stabilized? On a Long range vessel? But, that kills it's range! I could hardly belive my eyes...
Just as I bring the sad news to my fleet, my scanner systems fires up and shows me a Hurricane Battlecruiser class ship.
To my disbelief it appers on the acceleration gate, I hastly sving about, and primers my tackling systems, and capputres the Hurricane; "Point on cane" I shout to my mate as the rush for the Kill.
Just as the Hurricane explodes, To yet another disbeleif, The stabbed cerb comes back, and even better He lands at 0km from rest off my fleet.
Multiple where imidieltly called, And our fleet make short work off the poor Cerb.
As our fighting goes on, greedy Pirate eyes are watching, as we work on the final struckture off the cerb, they deside their T2 vessels are superior vs our t1 cruisers, and warps to same mission plex...
As the Cerb, blows up inn comes the pirates in a Ishtar Heavy Assult Cruiser and Evil Curse Recon ship.
Valkyrie, whom are in command of our small gang then decides that this is a GO for kills, and Barks out: "Primery the Ishtar"
As I starting to lock the Ishtar down, I, to my big consern sees that Both pirates are trageting my ship, and speews a hordes off drones after me.
As my poor ship is not made to deal with much force, and they drop my sheild to 50% I decide, I have to warp out...
I call out to valk, "I must bounce", I around my ship if there is any nearby plantes, as I find it, and engages my warpdrive, I look as I go with big consern for mate whom I leave behind.
I land safe at a planet, and imidiently fire up my thurster and plot in coordinates back to the plex, I hear distubing news on coms, one off our cruisers are lost.
I fire up my warp drives determen to drive theese pirate off.
As Im about to land I overheat my guns, and get my Drones ready to takes them down.
As I land 20km away from the and almost instenly lock the ishtar down, with guns blasting, drones fighting, we get rewaded with the explosion off The Pirate ship.
The final ship the Curse, is a worthy apponent, as he dranin cap and makes it hard to to use modules, we fight him a long time, but he was no match for our combidened ship and explodes in the end.
Very happy, we only lost 2 cruisers, we loot the wreacks to our heart content, as we loot and tries to get out as much we can, suddely a Gallete War Target Thorax Cruiser class ship landes beside us, I imidiently switch on my tackle, and he dies fast to our superior damage.
Sadly before we could loot all ships, a Drake Battlecruiser class ship comes, and now we know the Wartargets have backup. And we flee the mission site.
Very impressed how my mates handled their t1 cruisers, I congrat them on a job well done, As for me. I am very pleased in how my Rapier did in that fight.
But sadly I saw a few faults:
1: 1 Large Sheild Extender is not good enought tank, thoose drones hurt, but this means slower lock time...
2: 720mm Atry's does awsome alfha, but they missed a few shots on the Hurricane, and that is not good at all...
3: Cap is a big issue...
Working on another fit, this time It will be even more awsome...
